Our little Nyla is 4 weeks old today! Time is flying by! My little sweet sweet (as I call her) is growing and has such a sweet personality. My heart just gets bigger and bigger each day! We have had a fun weekend and we actually ventured out of the house.

Friday we had a girl's day out. My mom, Nyla, and I made a quick shopping trip for me and then to Wally-world for household stuff. The house was getting sprayed so we needed to be away from the house for a couple of hours. This was my first trip by myself (w/ my mom) but someone said when you go out with a baby you take everything but the kitchen sink...very true! I had everything! =) Daddy D made sure I could maneuver the stroller and carseat...I could when we practiced at home...as soon as I got out to the stores I could not get that stroller to let down for nothing LOL...I have to work on that some before I got out again with her by myself. We had a great time and Nyla did very good!

Saturday we ventured out to our new favorite store...Babies-r-us. Yes! if you have a baby you will most likely shop there once if not a million times (smile). We wish there was a store on our side of town, but we enjoyed the short trip across town. Nyla was awake during the ride back home and I just enjoyed entertaining her and reflecting on the joy of motherhood!
Today we went to dinner to have a last hoorah before Daddy D went back to work. Yes, we are sad but we are thankful for the month that he was able to take off. I am definitely going to miss him during the day because we helped each other out a lot with Nyla (he let me have a little extra sleep--such a sweetie!). and just having the other part of my team here =)..Nyla and I will definitely be looking out the window at 430 (Daddy's home!) I teased him and told him we would call every hour and we would definitely be using our iPhone face time feature =) My time for going back to work will be coming in Oct, so I will definitely try and make the most of my time with my girl!
